Education and training materials

Intervention: the International Journal of Mental Health, Psychosocial Work and Counselling in Areas
of Armed Conflict (Intervention Journal)
is owned by the WTF, and collects and disseminates a large diversity of information and experience in the field of psychosocial support.

As part of its remit, Intervention also develops and publishes training and training of trainer’s manuals in this field. Various respected trainers have drawn on their training methodologies in order to create this unique series of manuals. The texts have been translated into several languages, which can be used by local trainers and aid workers in a wide variety of countries.


So far, the following manuals have been published:

These manuals have been disseminated to local organisations, schools and trainers in various countries such as: North Ossetia, Ingushetia, the Russian Federation, Georgia, the Palestinian Territories, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Kosovo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Argentina, Colombia and Peru.

or purchased as a hard copy (except for the Albanian and Arabic training of teachers) from the War Trauma Foundation, info@wartrauma.nl.

Inhabitants of low income countries can order the manuals for free, those from high income countries will be charged € 15,00 per manual, with an additional € 7,50 per order for handling and shipping.
